Dear Parents and Carers of Year 8
RE: Enrichment Week : Tuesday 15th July – Year 8 students
I am delighted to inform you that your son/daughter will be involved in a range of cultural capital opportunities on Tuesday 15th July on-site at Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy.
As previously communicated, Year 8 will partake in a carousel of exciting and enriching activities which will add significant educational value. Year 8 students will experience a Macbeth Theatre Performance, A
STEM Robotics Drone session, Gang and County Lines awareness, a Languages and Calligraphy session, and a motivational assembly by singer-songwriter, Joel Foster.
Students should arrive on school site at 8:20am for an 8:25am line-up in the Quad. Normal school behavioural expectations apply and full uniform must be worn. Lunch is available, as usual, in the restaurant, and school will finish as normal at 3:15 pm.
We kindly invite families to consider making a voluntary contribution of £10.00 to help subsidise the cost of securing our visitors. These contributions will help us to provide enriching experiences for all students. Please note that this contribution is completely voluntary and not a condition for participation. Every contribution, regardless of the amount, is deeply appreciated and directly benefits our students. If you choose to contribute, please access Parent Pay to make a payment in the usual way by Friday 20th June by midday.
