Dear Parents/Carers of Year 13,
Re: 2026 Year 13 Leavers Key Information
As we enter year 13’s final exam season, we extend our gratitude to all parents and carers who have been incredibly supportive. You have been invaluable in our students’ education and wellbeing throughout their time in Post 16 as they progress towards their chosen Post 18 pathway.
Revision, coursework and exams can be stressful and we continue to encourage students to ensure they are well rested, consume a balanced diet and get plenty of exercise and fresh air. We would like to ask parents and carers to ensure students are looking after their physical and mental wellbeing at this time as well as supporting them with their attendance and punctuality to lessons.
Attendance expectations
Students are expected to attend all lessons until they have been signed off by their subject teacher. This is held on a central record where each subject teacher has confirmed that all coursework has been submitted and all exams have been taken. Students will then not be expected to attend school for that particular subject. We will continue to send an attendance text for any student who has not been signed off and is therefore expected in school. Students wishing to continue working in school are welcome to do so, but must report to Miss Maxwell and use their ID card to swipe in and out, so we can record attendance and ensure we know who is in the building. Students will not be officially signed off until all exams and coursework have been completed and their chromebook and charger have been returned to the academy.
On examination days, students are expected to be in the Study Centre no later than 30 minutes before the published exam start time. This allows us time to register students and collect personal items including electronic devices. We would appreciate your support in ensuring your child is not late to school, especially on examination days.
Leavers Event
Our annual Year 13 Leavers Event will take place on Wednesday 20th May in the Lecture Theatre, from 10am – 11.30am. This is officially the last day for students who have completed all examinations and coursework. If students have further exams and coursework after this date, they are required to attend all timetabled lessons in those subjects.
Results Day
We recommend that students collect their results in person so that key documents can be signed. If students are unable to collect their results in person on the day, they have the following options only. Students can authorise another person to collect their results for them. Students must give a letter signed by themselves to the Examinations Team before results day, providing the name of the person they have authorised. The designated person must bring identification with them when they collect the results. Uncollected results will be posted home following results day.
RESULTS WILL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE GIVEN OVER THE PHONE OR BY EMAIL.
IB Results day: Monday 6th July 2026 from 9.30am – 10.30am in the Dance Studio.
BTEC and A Level results day: Thursday 13th August 2026, 9:00am – 10:00am in the Dance Studio.
Support will be available to students who choose to go through the University clearing process. Further information will be shared in due course, including remarking services.
Chromebooks
Students must return their Chromebook and charger on, or before, the date of their last exam or coursework deadline.
We will not issue results in July or August until the students’ chromebook is returned.
