Re: PE kit standards
As the weather is improving, I felt it would be timely to remind you of the academy’s expectations with the dress code in PE.
Students are expected to wear the following:
- Girls and Boys – Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy or the old version Leigh PE polo shirt with college logo
- Girls and Boys – Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy or the old version Leigh PE tracksuit top (in colder weather)
- Girls – Black shorts or mid-long length black cycling shorts. In colder weather: black tracksuit bottoms or black leggings.
- Boys – Black shorts or black tracksuit bottoms.
Students are not permitted to wear very short cycling shorts and a reminder that PE leggings must be at least mid-length (midway between the hip and knee).
If for any reason a student does not have a Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy PE top e.g. they are awaiting a delivery, please provide a note and bring an alternative top so that she/he can still participate in their PE lesson. In this situation, please provide a plain black tee-shirt until the Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy PE top has arrived.
