We are delighted with our Post-16 International Baccalaureate Diploma results today . Our students have shown academic flair coupled with resilience and determination; developed in part due to disrupted earlier education; and they have come out on top. Thank you to the Sir Geoffrey Leigh staff and parents who have offered exceptional support throughout.
We have achieved our best ever Average Point Score of 33.6, which is the highest amongst all LAT secondary academies. We have achieved positive Value added, meaning that we have added ‘value’ to each student, as they achieve above their starting points.
Subject highlights are as follows
- Geography – 100% of students achieved higher diploma grade 5 or above
- English language and literature – 100% of students achieved higher diploma grade 4 or above, with 85% of students achieving Grade 5 or above
- Global politics – 100% of students achieved Higher grade 4 with 90% of students achieving a grade 5 or above
- Psychology 100% of students achieved a higher grade 4 or above, with 81% of students achieving a higher grade 5 or above,
- Social and cultural anthropology 95% of students achieved a higher grade 4 or above
- Business management – 91% of students achieved a higher grade 4 or above

Three of our SGLA full International Baccalaureate Careers Pathway Students:
- Matilda – Geography 5, psychology 5, reflective project C (with applied science) – L6 degree apprenticeship in land surveying with TfL.
- James – Business 6, English language and literature 5, reflective project C (with ICT) – University of Kent to read finance and investment with a year in industry
- Finlay – Social cultural anthropology 6, English language and literature 5, reflective project A (with ICT) – L4 apprenticeship with TfL
