Medical Passes from Module 5

Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy Letter image

Dear Parents/Carers,

Re : Medical Passes from Module 5

You may recall my letter emailed to you on 11.2.25, informing you of the changes to Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy’s approach to exit passes. I include the full letter below on page 2, with the important extract here:

As we transition into Module 4 and we review the needs of our students, I wanted to write to you in order to give every parent and carer significant advance notice of the following: at the start of module five, on Tuesday 22nd April 2025, the academy will remove all medical/exit request privileges from students who do not have medical evidence which justifies the need for a medical pass. This will allow you enough time to obtain recent evidence and includes the February and Easter break. From Module 5, all permission passes to leave the classroom will be known as a Medical Pass.

Students will be reminded of this during tutor time and assembly during this week so together you can seek the appropriate medical evidence for your child’s Medical Pass to be issued on Tuesday 22nd April ready for Module 5.

Yours faithfully,
Mr Stephenson | Deputy Principal
