Re: Paris Sports, Language and Cultural trip
We are proposing to organise a four day visit to Paris, spending time taking part in a range of sporting activities at the Athletica Sports Centre in Paris. The visit will also include a Seine river cruise, a day at Disneyland Paris, a tour of the Stade de France, tickets for the PSG home Ligue 1 match or stadium tour (tbc) and an opportunity to experience the Parisian culture and including the language.
- Date: depart on Friday 1st May from the SGLA at approximately 6.30am and return on Monday 4th May (Bank Holiday, in the evening)
- Resort: Athletica Sports Centre, 64 Rue des Bounquinvilles, 95600 Eaubonne, Paris
- Company: Smile group travel
- Cost: £650
The price includes:
- Return coach travel between the academy and Paris.
- Return ferry crossing from Dover to Calais, including a meal voucher per person per crossing.
- 3 nights accommodation on a half board basis at Athletica Sports Centre.
- Breakfast and dinner each day at Athletica.
- A range of sports opportunities at Athletica such as football, basketball, badminton, table tennis and athletics.
- 1 day entry to Disneyland Paris parks.
- Seine river cruise.
- Stade de France stadium & museum tour.
- Either a PSG stadium tour or tickets for the PSG vs Lorient match scheduled for the 3rd May 2026.
- Fully comprehensive travel insurance including medical, redundancy cover, travel, delay, personal liability, 24 hour emergency service.
The opening date/time to pay a deposit will be Monday 17th November 2025 at 12.00pm, with places going to the first 45 students that pay the £200 non-refundable deposit, on Parentpay. The closing date for payment of a deposit is Monday 24th November, with the payment schedule outlined below. You will require further documents while completing Parentpay, please consent to all including adding the Passport number of your child and the number of the GHIC card.

First deposit (non-refundable):
£200 payable by Monday 24th November 2025
Interim payments:
£150 to be paid by end of January 2026
£150 to be paid by end of February 2026
£150 to be paid by end of March 2026
Total to be paid: £650 by the deadline of Friday 27th March 2026
Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy has the right to withdraw any place on the trip if behavioural standards fall below expectations. A presentation for parents and students will be organised before the visit to give you more details.
