Dear Parents/Carers
Re: Parental Survey
Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in our recent parental survey. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us to better understand your experiences and identify areas where we can continue to improve. We are delighted to share some of the results with you.
We are incredibly proud that 90% of you agree that you would recommend our school to other parents. This is further emphasised by the fact that 89% of parents agree that their child is well taught at Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy. This is a fantastic endorsement and reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire staff.
It’s also wonderful to see that 89% of you strongly agree that your child does well at our school. We are committed to providing a supportive and challenging learning environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
We are particularly pleased with the positive responses regarding student wellbeing. A remarkable 91% of you feel that your child is happy at school, and 90% feel that your child feels safe. Creating a happy and safe learning environment is paramount to us, and these results are a testament to our ongoing efforts in this area. This is further endorsed by 89% of you stating that our pupils are well behaved. This again is a reflection that all students are able to learn in a disruption free environment.
Only 70% of parents felt informed of our wider personal development, with 17% of parents unsure. As such we have launched our monthly Personal Development bulletin, next issue will be sent home on Monday 31st March.
In response to parental feedback we have also created a new SEN email service, SEND@sgla.latrust.org.uk This will go directly to the SENCO, SEN administrator and SLT SEN line manager. Emails will be triaged and tracked to a resolution. We hope to further improve communication to parents of children with SEN needs, via this new system. Finally, we are grateful that 92% of you feel that the school is well led. We are committed to strong leadership and effective management to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback. We are committed to working in partnership with you to provide the best possible education for your children.
Yours faithfully
Julia Collins | Principal
