Year 11 Chromebook Return

Dear Parent/Carer

Re: Year 11 Chromebook Returns

I am writing to you today to arrange the return of your child’s academy-issued loan Chromebook. The Chromebook must be returned to me in CU1.08 by Friday 14th June at the very latest. If you took out the payment scheme to purchase the Chromebook, and it is fully paid, then the Chromebook is yours to keep.

Your child will be in the academy for their last GCSE exam that morning and Chromebooks will be collected before the examination from 7:45am – 8;30m. On the day of collection, your child will need to bring their Chromebook, its charger and box (if you still have it) to the academy and deliver them to the first-floor Curie Plaza.

If you do not have a charger there will be a £25 charge, therefore we politely suggest if lost that a replacement is ordered before handing the device back to us. We have found Amazon to be the cheapest place to buy these replacements should that be required.

If you wish to hand it in before then please try to visit CU1.08 during the following times:

  • Mondays between 3.15pm – 4pm
  • Wednesdays between 9am – 10.00am

Before this date, I would ask that you check your child’s device for any damage/fault. Any damage or faults need to be reported to me as soon as possible so this can be repaired under the insurance policy on the device.

The device will then be checked and signed off and you will then receive an email confirming the device has been returned. Failure to return the device could result in a fine being issued.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me

Yours sincerely
