Re: Italy Ski Trip Saturday 13th February to Friday 19th February 2027
It is the aim of Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy to not only encourage your daughter/son in their academic studies but also as an IB world school we provide students with opportunities to develop their cultural awareness and international mindedness, whilst increasing their physical fitness and experiencing environments outside of their daily experience. We are therefore proposing to organise a school ski visit to Piancavallo in Italy within the February half term holidays in 2027 for 40 students.
● Date: depart on Saturday 13th February 2027 – return on Friday 19th February 2027
● Resort: Piancavallo, Italy (hotel Stella Montis)
● Company: Select School Skiing
● Cost: £1250
The price includes:
● Return executive coach travel from Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy to the resort
● Return channel crossings based on Dover / Calais
● Full board accommodation inclusive of hot lunches
● A 4 day lift pass
● 4 days hire of skis, boots, poles and helmets
● 20 hours of ski tuition – 5 hours per day (ratio of 1:10)
● Evening activities: Pizza night, night skiing activities, sports hall games
● Dedicated Resort Representatives assigned to Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy party
● 24 hour emergency contact number & medical assistance service
● In-house evening entertainment programme organised by dedicated resort representative
● Fully comprehensive travel insurance including medical, travel, delay, personal liability, 24 hour emergency
service.
The opening date/time for paying deposits will be Friday 27th March 2026 at 12pm, with places going to the first 40 students that pay the £250 non-refundable deposit.
Payment Schedule:
Deposit Paid: £250 payable by Thursday 2 rd April 2026
Interim payment:
£200 to be paid by end of June 2026
£200 to be paid by end of August 2026
£200 to be paid by end of September 2026
£200 to be paid by end of October
£200 to be paid by end of December 2026
Final Balance To be paid by Thursday 31st December 2026
