Dear Parents / Carers
RE: Uniform Reminders
A reminder that full academy uniform is required to be worn by all Sir Geoffrey Leigh students every day.
As the weather gets warmer we are reminding students that the academy blazer is a compulsory part of the uniform to wear to the academy every day. The coats, hoodies, and jumpers can be left at home. If coats are worn to school, then they must be removed when in the building and carried or put in students’ bags.
Students are also being reminded to wear their uniform with pride. Skirts should be an appropriate length, trousers should be worn at the waist. Shirts tucked in and ties done up. We encourage all students to be well-dressed and business-like. Wearing uniform correctly and looking smart.
If any support is required with purchasing the academy uniform then please email your child’s college email as we do have some funding available.
If students are not wearing their uniform correctly they will be reminded to do so, if this becomes a repeated occurrence, then sanctions will be put in place.
Please also remind your son or daughter to bring a water bottle to school. These can be refilled at the water fountains at break or lunch time, but not during lesson time.
Thank you for your ongoing support in shaping our young people to be outstanding citizens of the future.
Yours faithfully
Julia Collins | Principal
